2 Minutes of Torah- Dreaming and Miketz

As winter comes and the days become darker earlier, I imagine the world invites us to hibernate a little.

We can get cozy, rest, and even drift off to sleep earlier. The extra time asleep provides the opportunity to dream. You might dream of warmer weather and sunnier days. Or maybe you dream of changes in your life. Or maybe, in your dreams, you get in touch with your subconscious and inner desires and demons. Dreaming this time of year is something we also encounter in the Torah. This week we read in Miketz of Joseph interpreting Pharaoh’s dreams to predict seven years of prosperity followed by seven years of famine.

What does prosperity look like for you? How about famine?

How do you envision prosperity in your dreams? What would famine look like?
